Audio Problem:- Motherboard - ASRock N68-VS3 UCC Operating System - Windows 7 64Bit Enterprise Processor - AMD Athlon II X2 250 3.00GHz RAM - 4.00GB My problem is as described. I connect my 5.1 Labtec Audio to my system, I remove my head phones that is connected via USB dongle. I power on my Audio I hear some noise coming from the different speakers.
I open up a song and I am not hearing anything. I go to control Panel and check my setting, everythingi s set. When i click on the audio icon on the bottom right hand corner of my screen, I see the green is moving which indicates audio is playing. I remove the jacks from the back panel and place at the front, nothing is playing. I connect the jacks to my laptop and I have audio. I want to believe it have to do with my sound card ( on board) what to do? I connect a normal wired headphone to the computer at the front, I hear static noise.
I unplug and connect to the back in the green. I play a song and still I am not hearing nothing. I settings, the drivers indicated audio is enabled and working properly. I need some assistance please. Windows 7 has sooo many different options for audio it is confusing. If you right click on the (windows) speaker icon in the system tray and click 'volume control options' you get one set of features.

If you click on the 'sound' icon in the device manager you get entirely different results! And lets not forget that your sound card probably has its own audio configuration utility! I have found that sometimes you have to play with all of these programs to get the sound to work properly. Getting windows to recognize the 'default' seems to be the biggest issue. Motherboard drivers are a kind of software, and therefore they are subject to all the same problems that affect the work of other kinds of programs. Keep in mind that motherboard drivers may also be damaged for various reasons, such as virus-infected, or obsolete as a result of system upgrades or software changes. Remember that is very important to have exactly the driver that is needed specifically for your hardware motherboard model.
Therefore, it is recommended that you search using the motherboard manufacturer name and model number of each motherboard.
