Suzer22 Exactly as promised I like that there are three display options (the status bar, the tea kettle in the dock, and the main display); I enjoy that the display changes color with each reset; I appreciate that the display calculates what time it will be when the timer ends. I am very happy that I can shut off the audio alarm and the flashing is very obvious. Features I wish it also had: the ability to count up so I could see how long something takes; a preference to keep the display on top of all my other work so I can easily move through various windows and apps without having to go back and pull the timer to the front. I’m not sure why I’d ever need two timers going at once (cooking several dishes at the same time?) and I thought I would get to have more than one timer going at once when I saw “add a timer”, When I tried to start a 2nd timer, at first I thought the new one simply overrode the first one, but it actually DID have more than one timing!!

Little dots at the bottom of the display allows you to toggle between them, and they are different colors so that helps. Then I discovered the tiling button and I can see all the simultaneous timers at once. I just hope the app will warn me when I am close to needing a battery, and not wait until I am all out! I’m guessing the battery icon will help there, but haven’t used the app enough to see that go down yet. GemmaGSchmidt App purchases does not carry over to multiple devices Update: I am updating this review because I have the app on two devices. It seems that the app works independently from your apple accounts. That is, I bought the unlimited battery on my laptop but the purchase didn’t carry over to the desktop. I wish the app allowed multiple devices, like Bear and other apps do.

I lowered my ratings because of this. I am writing this review because it will earn me 7 days of free battery, well, it’s almost as if I’m being paid to review this product and I think anyone reading should be aware of that. I like the app. I haven’t had it for many days yet so I can’t say if I’ll keep using it or not. I have found that other time tracking apps were too buggy or too slow and this one just works. It has several options to tinker around with, but I guess that the one I like the most so far is that it is both an alarm and a time tracker. I sometimes need to countdown and sometimes I need to say “let me know when it’s 4pm so I can switch tasks,” and this red hot kettle does it.

Given the kettle icon, I was hoping that there would be a sound option of a whistling kettle, but alas, not in this version (maybe in the future?). I frequently play games that require me to do things every so often, such as every 48 minutes. Also, when I have something cooking in the kitchen, I can easily lose track of it, so I like to set a clock.

This app turned out to be wonderful. I purposely chose this app because it did NOT cost anything. Then, when I tried to use it, I found out I DID have to buy something, a battery to use with it. It does allow the buyer to use it for 3 days, but then you need to buy one, for different lengths of time, including one that is good for lifetime. If I had known about what is called “in-app purchases,” I would NOT have gotten this. I am on a fixed income, so little things like this add up.

I would not have bothered & would have just continued to set my clock, which is annoying, but does not cost me anything. If you do not mind spending money, from $.99 to $6.99, then this is a good app to get. Like this timer? Creating a better timer Timer was originally developed for. At the time the team was using a countdown clock that was made in PowerPoint and that simply did not cut it.

We needed something that would look better and would be easier to use. It was time to create a better timer. This free countdown timer is used on our practices and in LIVE events. Later it was shared with other organizers all across the globe and now it is here for you too. Timer works flawlessly and it will improve your event. As used on TEDxVienna and many other conferences around the world. How to use it?

SET THE TIME. Do that by simply clicking on numbers with your mouse.

You can also use arrow keys on your keyboard. To start it press SPACE. TIMER IS RUNNING. Countdown has started and will continue until timeout is reached. You can pause the timer by clicking SPACE. To reset the timer press DEL.Note: on some Macs there is no DEL key.

In this case use Fn+backspace. Timeout has been reached and a well visible red screen will appear. This has been tested to stop speakers, much better than if screen would not change colour into such obvious one! Free countdown timer download.NOTE: to reduce filesize, files were compressed. After download, unzip by right click / Extract all. This count-down timer was perfect for our event. Easy to use with BIG numbers that no one can miss.

It was exactly what I was looking for. My only suggestion is that when the timer is reset with the Delete key that it would go back to the previously set time as almost all of our talks over two days were 15 minutes in length rather than the default 10 minutes. But it is easy to increase/decrease the time so that was only a very minor inconvenience. THANK YOU again for making this timer available. It really was perfect for our needs.

Hi, I was looking for a timer and end up on your website. As you have heard that sitting kills. New research is pointing that sitting in an office etc.

For long periods of time is very unhealthy. And they recommend that one gets up every 10 to 15 minutes and stretch etc. This small pause alone can counter some of the ill effects of sitting. My problem is that I forgot to get up, so I would like to have a timer that will remind me to get up. Timer must be on the desktop, easy and fast to use and most importantly it must automatically start counting another 10 or 15 minute period. Also the alarm must be quiet so that it doesn’t wake people up who might be sleeping in the same room. Computer user can hear even a very quiet peep, because one is near the computer.

Alarm could be visual too. No sound at all. It could flash a picture of an alarm clock on the screen every 10 minutes. It must be totally automatic every 10 minutes. What you think about this idea? Let me know if you make this alarm. Timo from Finland.

I have a live stream that I’d love to have a countdown timer to use like yours. There are a couple features I’d love to see added. Ability to change background color 2. Ability to make background transparent. Hi Igor, Love, love, love your timer. Have been using it at all our events over the last few years and it works every time. We’ve just had the free timer so far.

I have 2 questions for you. I’m wondering does the next version allow you to show your speakers how far over they are going if they continue beyond the TIME’s UP! Just for the few people that like to continue!

I am not sure from the descriptions if you can just review it afterwards. I need that information to be live to them.
